Need a little pick-me-up?

Some days, to quote a good friend, are "2 coffee pot" days.

Some days, a big bowl of ice cream (or 3 large sugar cookies) before bedtime, puts the world back into order.

Other days, a good dose of this 3 year old boy does the trick!

If there's one thing I've learned in my life so far, it's not about arriving somewhere or achieving something or finally getting what I've been praying for. It's about the journey God has me on. It's about being content in all circumstances, where God has me at this precise moment. And above all, it's not about being the greatest teacher, the perfect wife, or the best mother...it's about falling more and more in love with my Creator and Savior. Glorifying Jesus is what I was created to do! He is the focus and His gospel work in my life is why I live and breathe. It's not about keeping the most organized home or living up to my own standards of perfection or in the accomplishments I make. It has taken me a lot of years to learn that simple truth, and it will be probably many more until I fully comprehend it. But it's all about the journey and how I'm being sanctified along the way.
